Tiger Woods has had an unbelievable career to date. He is perhaps the greatest modern era player to have teed it up and although he’s already on the “back-nine” of his career, he is still one of the major draws to the sport of golf.
He recently turned 40 years old and has won a total of 79 PGA TOUR events including 14 Major Championships, his last being the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines, where he won in a playoff on a broken leg against Rocco Mediate. The 14 Majors include four Masters, three US Open Championships, three Open Championships and four PGA Championships. He’s still chasing Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 Majors – although the window may be closing, you can’t count out Tiger.
In the video above, watch this episode of “Chronicles of a Champion Golfer” by The Open Championship featuring Tiger. He talks about his first experiences playing links golf, winning the Claret Jug and more, take a look.
